Empowering young people to assess their soft skills gained
in sports for improving employment opportunities

MISSION

The right tools for everyone

YouthSportCV is a s a European program led by the Union of Sport Federations of Catalonia (UFEC), co-funded by the European Commission. It is a transnational and cross-sectoral initiative gathering professionals from the fields of sport, youth and employability to contribute to young people’s employability with a special focus on “not in employment, education or training” (NEETs) and recognition of their soft skills acquired in practising sports.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Youth Sport CV

Youth unemployment is one of today’s most pressing challenges. Around 5 million young people aged 15-29 were unemployed in the EU in 2023. By creating innovative tools, including a digital platform for self-assessment and certification, YouthSportCV helps young people, particularly those not in education, employment, or training (NEETs), to showcase these skills to the labour market. Through pilot programme activities involving youngsters from vulnerable areas of Pilot territories (Barcelona, Lisbon and Athens) and collaboration with coaches, educators, and employers, the project bridges the gap between informal learning in sport and real-world career opportunities, contributing to a more inclusive and future-ready workforce.
